Covid-19 Qurantine
Well, I think we are on Day 26 of the Coronavirus quarantine. Rochester closed school on Thursday, March 12th in order for staff to prepare. The State of Michigan closed all school starting Friday, the 13th. We have been home since. The last time I went out was on March 11th, to Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant with Jessica Geottes. This was when I learned of the first confirmed case in Michigan. I told her we better get dessert after lunch because we would not likely be going out for awhile....and here we are. We also stopped at Meijer on Hall Road on the way home to grab a few more things, Even though I had groceries to pick up later that day at Meijer that I had ordered that morning. Good thing I did. We are on our last roll of paper towel and one more pack of toilet paper and have not been able to get any from online shopping since then. We have only ordered groceries to pick up at the curb and carry out food about once a week. The boys have been troopers about it all and have adjusted to their home learning schedule very well. Here is a photo of us having a Lego car building contest.

Kyle's 5th Birthday
Kyle had a bowling party! He had a rock 'n roll birthday theme. Mackswell from down the street came, Jesse and Drew Geottes, Lily from Family Ties Day Care, and cousins, Coral, Lincoln, and Audrey. Everyone had fun! Kyle got a karaoke machine and disco bowl.

Asleep before we left the parking lot We spent 10 days in Florida over break. We went to an island we call 'golf cart island' south of Sanibel. It was very relaxing and provided quality family time away from the hustle and bustle of life! We saw a tortoise! We hoped to see more..but..well, two, if a dead one counts. We rented kayaks and a golf cart for a few days. We saw one dolphin. No manatees. But enjoyed the sun and warm weather...and lots of golf trips adventuring the island. We wanted to go to the State park, but it was too long a walk with little kids. Then, we went back to Orlando and stayed at the Holiday Inn resort with a few pools. We had watched the weather closely to go to Disney, but apparently the weather man was WRONG. We spent way too much money on parkas, but let's just say we will use them for life. The boys LOVED it. Sean was in AWE and had his mouth open pretty much all day just taking it all in. They had no meltdowns, even after 13 hours of being there, damp, in the rain. Ahhh, the magic. Sean LOVED meeting Mickey and Minnie, and gave them a big hug and a kiss...and pooh, Tigger, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy! And we still LOVE "It's a small world"!
